The Junior Herald, which launched on May 1. 2004, is a sister newspaper of The Korea Herald. It is a newspaper for the preteen in Korea whose ages range from 10 to 16 years old. It is a prestigious newspaper for young readers, combining smart and witty writings by experienced editorial staff members who have worked for Reuter, UPI, AP and other well-known media. The Junior Herald will strive to become one of most valuable English newspaper in Asia and enhance the Newspaper In Education (NIE) movement. Herald Media also completed its education network by acquiring a majority control of Herald Schools Inc. - a network of language education centers for children; founding Herald Education Inc. - a full-service language institute in the Kangnam region; and launching Digital Herald Inc. - a digital language education service provider.
